Aston Martin Vanquish Volante 2025: the convertible with F1 numbers
Top speed: 345 km/h; acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds; 845 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque... these are numbers we'd all assign to a two-seater coupe or an extreme sports sedan. However, Aston Martin has brought those performances to a convertible: the new Vanquish Volante.
Of course, this is the most powerful and fastest convertible Aston Martin has ever launched, but it's also the wildest front-engined model (no less than a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12) on the market: none other is faster and swifter than the Vanquish Volante.
The Volante name in Aston Martin reflects—in addition to the obvious convertible body style—its elegant design, achieved by almost completely replicating the coupé's silhouette... despite the fact that the car's roof is now a power-operated canvas roof.
The soft top that gives the Vanquish Volante its dual personality is as fast as the car itself, retracting in 14 seconds and closing in 16 seconds, and can be done while moving (up to a speed limit of 45 km/h) and even from outside. Aston Martin claims that the sound insulation it achieves for passengers is also similar to that of the Vanquish Coupé.

The mechanical unit that powers the rolling sculpture that is this Vanquish Volante is a newly developed 5.2-liter V12, in the best Aston Martin tradition. Its 835 horsepower is almost double that of the first V12 in an Aston Martin Vanquish... something that is also reflected in the engine's maximum torque, no less than 1,000 Nm, available from 2,500 rpm.
Therefore, its handling must be equally fulfilling whether we drive in "pleasure mode," enjoying the journey and the surroundings, or if we hit the track to get the most out of everything it offers dynamically. For the former, we have a specific driving program, GT, which configures the suspension, steering, and eight-speed automatic transmission for greater comfort... and in the latter, in addition to Sport and Sport + modes, we have other weapons such as ESP with Track or Off settings or the assistance of the E-diff electronic rear differential, which sharpens its cornering ability... almost as if it were an F1 car. Its melody, which can be enjoyed more fully on the Volante when driving without the roof filter, can be customized depending on the type of exhaust we choose. With two dual outlets, one on each side, the standard one is made of steel, and the optional one is made of titanium, lighter and with a smaller silencer that amplifies its roar. Alternatively, as far as sound is concerned... a spectacular Bowers & Wilkins audio system.
Also noteworthy are the carbon-ceramic brakes that come standard (and are clearly visible through the enormous 21" wheels), the Pirelli PZero tires specific to the Vanquish, or the improvements to the chassis, which is 75% stiffer under lateral forces.

There are no surprises in the interior design, which replicates that of the Coupé, which, in turn, debuted a new generation of cabins for the British brand. As in its sibling, the two screens are notched into a 10.25" diagonal... but with functions delegated to some physical controls. All wrapped in Alcantara and semi-aniline leather as standard.
The standard seats are already quite sporty (the Sport Plus ones), but for those who want a more racing feel, carbon fiber Performance seats are also available. Another nice touch is the optional custom-designed luggage set.
The Aston Martin Vanquish Volante, for which the British brand has not revealed the price for Spain, will be on the market after the summer.
