MINI Cooper S AC Schnitzer

While we eagerly await the arrival of the high-performance MINI John Cooper Works, which will be sold in internal combustion versions alongside the already presented electric versions, the British brand is offering the John Cooper Works trim for the MINI Cooper S. As with the electric Cooper SE, there are improvements to the exterior and interior, but they are only aesthetic, as the power remains unchanged.

With an output of 204 hp and a torque of 300 Nm, the 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo engine accelerates the MINI Cooper S from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds. This model anticipates the more powerful versions, and with this trim, the exclusive details of the equipment highlight MINI's competitive DNA, recalling the high-performance model series through its aesthetics.

However, if you're the impatient type who can't wait for the hottest version to get a sporty look, don't worry, because AC Schnitzer offers everything you need to customize your Cooper S with the JCW package. Unfortunately, the specialist hasn't improved the mechanics yet, so we'll just have to wait or find another tuner.

In terms of aesthetics, AC Schnitzer's proposal for the MINI Cooper S includes some aerodynamic appendages, new exhausts and a set of 19-inch AC1 alloy wheels, available in two-tone or black finishes. At the front, there's a two-level splitter combined with reinforced side skirts and a more aggressive rear diffuser.

Even more eye-catching at the rear is the roof spoiler with gloss black fins, which perfectly matches the black frame between the taillights and the optional stickers. These improvements are complemented by a lower stance thanks to new shock absorbers, which reduce ground clearance by 15 and 25 mm and can be combined with 10 mm spacers.

As for the changes to the exhaust system, there are two pipes mounted in the center of the diffuser. Each has a diameter of 100 mm and carbon fiber details. Rounding off the package, some interior modifications include a new aluminum footrest and a key fob.
