Fiat: the best-selling brand in the Stellantis group, despite having fallen 11%

In a group like Stellantis, where manufacturers such as Peugeot and Opel on this side of the Atlantic, as well as Dodge and Jeep on the other side, score points, it is curious that Fiat leads the internal ranking in 2024, standing out among the 14 brands that make up the Franco-Italian-American group, as occurred in previous years. Despite being the best-selling brand in the “family”, Fiat delivered just over 1.2 million units globally last year, 11% less than the 1.35 million it transacted in 2023. But that doesn’t take the CEO of the brand, Olivier François, fearing what is to come. Interestingly, for a European brand, Fiat has had remarkable success in markets such as Brazil (where it sold 521,000 units in 2024, 9.5% more than in 2023 and around 43% of the brand's total), Turkey and Algeria, but it is far from the top positions in the Old Continent. In Europe, including the United Kingdom, Iceland, Norway and Switzerland, the Italian manufacturer sold just 304,000 vehicles, surpassed by its “sisters” Citroën (around 358,000), Opel (414,000) and Peugeot (641,000).
