Yamaha announced this Wednesday (9) its first electric scooter made in Brazil, the Neo's Connected. The model will be produced in Manaus from January 2025 and has a modern and minimalist look.
The model was designed for city commuting and has an ergonomic seat and connectivity features;
According to the manufacturer, the rubberized frames on the vehicle's body protect against minor impacts;
The scooter is equipped with removable batteries and the electric motor is installed in the rear wheel hub;
In terms of power, the unit offers 2.3 kW and 135 Nm of torque;
The batteries with 23.2 Ah capacity take about 9 hours to fully recharge (or 20 to 80% in 5 hours);
According to Yamaha, the estimated useful life of the battery is 3 years (or 25,000 km driven);
Yamaha has not yet released performance and range figures;
A similar electric scooter sold in Europe reaches 45 km/h and provides 68 km of autonomy;
The electric “scooter”’s equipment list includes a keyless entry key, 12V socket, cell phone connectivity via the Yamaha Motorcycle Y-Connect app, front storage compartment and more.
The scooter also offers two riding modes and a full LED lighting system. When the battery charge level drops below 20%, the dashboard displays an alert to the rider and the scooter’s speed is reduced to save energy.
