TOYOTA SUPRA GR 550 BY MANHART: COBERTO COM FIBRA DE CARBONO E MUITA POTÊNCIA

Toyota Supra Manhart GR 550

Since its arrival on the market, the Toyota Supra has generated great expectations, although sales have not been at all what the company expected. However, it is undeniable that experts in the automotive accessories market have been delighted with the fifth generation of the model. Over the years, we have seen all kinds of tune-ups, such as this Manhart GR 550.

Yes, Toyota's coupe became a sensation among the best tuners in the world as soon as it hit our roads, and for good reason. We are talking about a sports car in its purest form, without compromises that diminish the pleasure of the driving experience, although also with a more German than Japanese essence, as you may already know.

It is worth remembering that the most powerful Toyota GR Supra is equipped with a 3.0-liter, 6-cylinder in-line engine with BMW's TwinPower Turbo technology. Thanks to this, it develops a power of 340 hp and a maximum torque of 500 Nm. However, Manhart wants to show that this engine has much more potential, and its GR 550 comes with an imposing aesthetic and an extra horsepower.

On the outside, the Supra from the German specialist is painted white, contrasting with graphics and other details in black and red. The huge fixed spoiler and its reduced height thanks to a sports suspension with springs from H&R are eye-catching. Manhart also offers a KW coilover suspension. These are combined with a set of 20-inch Concave One alloy wheels.

There is also new, more aggressive bumpers, a front splitter, side skirts, mirror housings and taillight covers in carbon fiber. To complete the look, a sports exhaust system has been installed. Optionally, the specialist also offers a solution for those who want to remove the catalytic converter, the engine sound amplifier in the interior and the Start & Stop system. Manhart also offers upgrades to the brakes and various carbon fiber trims for the interior.

To top it all off, we have no less than 210 hp and 270 Nm of additional torque under the hood. This results in a total of 550 hp and 770 Nm of maximum torque, thanks to the addition of an improved turbocharger, a carbon fiber air intake and an optimized ECU. There are also new charge pipes and a high-performance radiator.

As for the cost of the conversion, the Performance kit costs 11,999 euros, allowing you to exploit the engine's full potential. The complete package adds 5,050 euros for the sports exhaust system and 2,136 euros for the new tailpipes. The carbon fiber package adds 13,500 euros to the bill, although the accessories can be purchased individually.
