Enyaq RS Race Concept

Skoda has unveiled the Enyaq RS Race Concept, a race-ready coupe-shaped SUV. This electric model offers aggressive bumpers and a specific aerodynamic kit, as well as darkened headlights and a minimalist grille. You can also notice the ventilated hood and the more pronounced wheel arches. There are also small wings on the roof that help direct air towards the large rear spoiler. Also helping with aerodynamics are optimized mirror housings, a huge diffuser and 20-inch wheels fitted with low-profile tires.

The interior has been stripped down as much as possible, incorporating a roll bar and two Atech racing seats with six-point seat belts. There is also a fire extinguisher, rally-style hydraulic handbrake and a competition steering wheel. The dashboard is made from lighter biocomposite material and there is a 13-inch central screen. The Hava premium sound system allows for typical racing model sounds above 30 km/h. In fact, the sound (which can be modified) is more pronounced compared to the Enyaq Coupé RS, which serves as the basis for this prototype. 

The new features also include carboceramic steering and brakes. Additionally, the Czech brand's engineers installed an adjustable sports suspension in this concept, which makes it possible to modify compression, stiffness and rebound.

This Enyaq RS Race Concept has undergone numerous changes in order to save weight. It all starts with the body made of a composite material (which has the same rigidity and allows the same diet as carbon fiber, according to Skoda), adding polycarbonate glass and a composite panel replacing the glass roof. In total, it saves 316 kg compared to the street model.

The propulsion system is made up of two electric motors (one per axle), with 340 hp. The battery is 82 kWh. It claims to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 5 seconds, while the series model accomplishes the same task in 6.5 seconds.
