HYUNDAI ESTREIA A LINHA 2025 DO IONIQ 5 FABRICADA NOS EUA, INCLUINDO A NOVA VERSÃO XRT PRONTA PARA AVENTURAS

IONIQ 5 XRT: Off-Road Capability and a Rugged, Bold Look

Hyundai announced the launch of the refreshed 2025 IONIQ 5, including a new rugged version, the IONIQ 5 XRT, ideal for off-road adventures. The expanded lineup offers greater driving range and more innovative features than ever before, resulting in greater convenience, performance and safety. The IONIQ 5 will be the first model line to be manufactured at the new Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) plant in Georgia, USA.

The enhanced 2025 IONIQ 5 models, including the new XRT, will arrive at Hyundai dealerships in the U.S. this fall to broaden the appeal of the IONIQ 5. The IONIQ 5 XRT brings greater off-road capability and a bolder, more rugged look to Hyundai’s EV for the first time. The IONIQ 5 aims to further enhance customer satisfaction by being the first Hyundai model equipped with Tesla’s North American Standard Charging Outlet (NACS). This outlet provides access to more than 17,000 chargers in Tesla’s Supercharger network without the need for an adapter, doubling the size of the DC fast charging network available to new IONIQ 5 customers. 2025 IONIQ 5 models will also be sold with a Combined Charging System (CCS) adapter. All new Hyundai EVs or refreshed models in the United States will come exclusively with the NACS outlet starting in the fourth quarter of 2024.

“The IONIQ 5 has been a sales success since day one,” said José Muñoz, president and global chief operating officer of Hyundai Motor Company and president and CEO of Hyundai Motor North America. “We continue to deliver more of what customers want, expanding the IONIQ 5 lineup with a dedicated off-road XRT model, NACS power outlet, design updates and a long list of features developed with customers in mind. The high-performance IONIQ 5 N showcases how exciting EVs can be and has been a symbol for our entire brand. We are taking ‘America’s Most Awarded EV Lineup’ from strength to strength.”

“We designed this IONIQ 5 XRT to offer more protection, connection and functionality. These will be the hallmarks of our XRT models going forward,” said Brad Arnold, senior exterior design manager, Hyundai Design North America. “The digital camouflage pattern was created using the IONIQ pixel as a building block. The 18-inch wheels in a matte black finish also showcase the same IONIQ pixel theme, while providing strength and cooling.” Enhanced Usability...The IONIQ 5’s interior offers improved ergonomics and convenience for an even more comfortable living space. The upper portion of the center console now features physical buttons for frequently used functions, including heating and ventilation controls for front-row occupants, as well as a button for the heated steering wheel and parking assist. The wireless charger has been relocated to significantly improve usability.

The 2025 IONIQ 5 features a more powerful, next-generation infotainment system. Wireless integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is standard across the lineup. All models are equipped with wireless Over-The-Air (OTA) software updates to ensure key vehicle controls remain up-to-date, while also paving the way for new features to be added remotely.

In addition, Hyundai engineers have introduced a host of new safety and convenience features. These include the steering wheel with Hands-On-Steering (HOD) detection, Lane Keeping Assist 2, Smart Remote Parking Assist 2 (RSPA 2) and Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist - Reverse/Front/Side (PCA-R/F/S).

In response to customer feedback, a number of features including Hyundai's Premium Digital Key 2 and rear wiper/washer combo have also been introduced. These confidence-inspiring features contribute to a safer and more convenient driving experience. Additional measures have been taken to enhance safety and driving comfort compared to previous models.

In terms of safety, the body, front and rear doors and B-pillar sections have been reinforced to improve protection against side collisions. The vehicle also features eight airbags, including side airbags in the second row for added safety.

Also joining the lineup is the 2025 IONIQ 5 XRT, a more capable model positioned between the updated standard model and the high-performance IONIQ 5 N. The IONIQ 5 XRT is designed to appeal to customers who desire electric off-road adventures.

The IONIQ 5 XRT features a more aggressive front and rear design, with unique bumpers, sleek side skirts and a set of dedicated 18-inch aluminum wheels. These features emphasize the model’s enhanced capability on rough terrain, made possible by the XRT’s higher ride height and suspension tuning.

The XRT’s cabin creates an immersive and dynamic driving environment, thanks to features such as H-Tex seat surfaces with an exclusive XRT pattern, XRT badges and logos and a black headliner.
