Dodge Charger Daytona: the brand's first all-electric car has its prices released

Dodge has released the price of the Charger Daytona, its first all-electric car. And the noisy EV won't be cheap. Prices for the 2024 two-door models start at US$59,595 (R/T) and $73,190 (Scat Pack).

To give you an idea, these figures are equivalent to approximately R$332,000 and R$408,000 (Brazilian currency), respectively. This is in direct conversion – the one that does not consider the taxes that would increase the prices of electric Chargers when sold in Brazil.

One of the main attractions of the Dodge Charger Daytona is the “Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust”. This system transforms the silent electric car into a noisy muscle car. The idea is to give the driver a sensation similar to that of driving a gasoline-powered muscle car.

The system uses two passive radiators to create an exhaust profile. The intensity of the sound is tied to the car's performance, but it also offers a stealth sound mode.

Demonstrations of this noise have been circulating on the internet over the past year (see examples in this video). But the final version of the "Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust" noise will be revealed to the press shortly before Dodge's Roadkill Nights event.

The Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack, a beefier model, features exclusive track features, such as Drift mode, and a performance heads-up display (HUD).

Another point worth noting: the Scat Pack goes from 0 to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds. That's a time that beats that achieved by the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT.
