AC Cobra GT Coupé 2025: The legendary British sports car is back

AC Cars, the UK’s oldest car manufacturer, has released the first images of the stunning new AC Cobra GT Coupé. The first official AC Cobra coupé is ready to enter production. The model is built on an enhanced version of the existing AC Cobra GT Roadster platform.

Inspired by victories from AC’s formative years, including the Monte Carlo Rally and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the new AC Cobra GT Coupé adds motorsport-derived enhancements to produce a unique AC Cobra.

AC Cobra GT Coupé: A unique concept...Fusing the unmistakable AC Cobra aesthetic with a contemporary coupé profile, this model provides a new boost to the brand as it continues to expand its operations. The coupé version is undoubtedly a member of the AC Cobra GT family. To begin with, the model retains the key features of the Roadster, but is also inspired by the AC A98 that competed at Le Mans in 1964.

AC Cars will celebrate the arrival of the AC Cobra GT Coupé with a Clubsport Edition. Limited to just 99 units and featuring an 810 hp V8 engine under the bonnet, these first units will be the first cars delivered to customers from the end of 2025. The Clubsport Edition will be followed by the series production coupé, available with a choice of 456 hp or 730 hp supercharged V8.

Design and performance... Designed to help reduce drag and increase high-speed performance, the Kammtail design was incorporated into the AC A98 and has now been replicated. Extremely lightweight and with exceptional torsional rigidity, AC Cars’ unique chassis construction is well-suited to motorsport use. With the same dimensions as the roadster we already know, the new coupé has a wheelbase of 2,570 mm, a length of 4,225 mm and a width of 1,980 mm. Once again, the manufacturer has opted for an almost perfect weight distribution of 50:50. The weight of the new AC Cobra GT Coupé will be confirmed before production, but the Clubsport Edition has a stated target of being under 1,450 kg.

Price and reservations...According to information from the brand, the new AC Cobra GT Coupé has a starting price of 384,276 euros, plus relevant taxes and the additional cost of optional extras. Reservations for both the AC Cobra GT Coupé and the Clubsport Edition are now open on the manufacturer's website.
