RAM and Universal Pictures partner for reboot of epic 1996 film 'Twister'
RAM and Universal Pictures are teaming up once again, this time as Universal, Warner Bros. Amblin Entertainment's epic action film, 'Twisters', arrived in cinemas around the world on July 11th alongside RAM's new advertising campaign, 'Answer Your Calling'. The idea is to celebrate the return of adrenaline and the excitement of pickup trucks on the big screen that will take the public inside one of the most wonderful and destructive forces of nature. 'Twisters' star Glen Powell will be seen navigating treacherous storms in powerful RAM pickup trucks.
“When the movie ‘Twister’ was released in 1996, our hero was behind the wheel of a RAM 2500,” said Olivier François, Global Marketing Director at Stellantis. “When we learned that Universal Pictures was filming the sequel to ‘Twister,’ there was no doubt that a ram pickup would once again appear as the film’s heroic vehicle. The stars have aligned even more knowing that Glen Powell himself is in fact the owner of a RAM pickup truck, adding even more authenticity and credibility to what is expected to be one of the biggest films of the season.”
“As the owner of a RAM pickup, it was a blast to work with a brand that exceeds expectations and embraces challenges,” said Powell. “I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity to continue my journey with the RAM brand, bringing the thrill of adventure to pickup truck enthusiasts everywhere.”
'Answer Your Calling' is the third installment in the ongoing evolution of RAM's U.S. advertising campaigns, created in partnership with Doner Agency, that takes viewers on the ride of their lives as powerful pickup trucks help the film's stars pursue , escape and maneuver everything that mother nature throws at them. The ‘Answer Your Calling’ global marketing campaign is now being promoted around the world. Broadcast on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, the 30-second video will also be broadcast on TV and official Ram channels such as YouTube. See below.
The film's premiere in Brazil featured exclusive screenings in several cities across the country. Especially in the city of Brasília, the preview was held in a Drive In format and RAM provided an exclusive space for RAM customers and their pick-ups.
