Maserati enters a new era with the MC20 Cielo, the new supercar that combines performance, sportiness and luxury with Maserati's unique style. It is, without a doubt, an Italian work of art, as it is a car with incredible aerodynamic efficiency, which hides a sporty soul, with the new Nettuno engine. Novitec's Maserati MC20 Cielo goes one step further.
As standard, a V6 engine with 630 hp and 730 Nm of torque catapults the MC20 Cielo from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3 seconds. The model is capable of reaching 320 km/h and weight is one of its strong points, as the number only increases by 65 kilos compared to its coupé brother. According to the brand, the model has one of the best weight/power ratios.
Data from the Italian manufacturer reveal just 2.47 kg/hp thanks to the intensive use of lightweight materials such as carbon fiber. However, Novitec, a traditional German tuner, believes that the MC20 Cielo's aesthetics can be radically improved with some carbon fiber accessories, and they are right.
The trident brand's performance flagship receives a tuning package that includes discreet aerodynamics and a power increase for the V6 Nettuno engine. On the outside we see a pair of side fins on the front bumper's air intakes and a slightly larger ducktail-shaped rear spoiler, made of carbon fiber.
The same material was used for the hood inserts, front splitter and side air intakes. The set is finished off by new Vossen NF11 forged wheels. They measure 21 inches and feature a gold finish, matching the external details and contrasting with the gray bodywork. Anyway, the company offers up to 72 different colors.
The wheels are shod with high-performance tires and can be combined with a lowered suspension to improve handling. Novitec sports springs in yellow bring the MC20 Cielo 25 mm closer to the ground. Compatible with the factory nose lift system, it can be combined with a set of aluminum spacers that increase the tracks to 28 or 40 mm.
As usual, the preparer also offers many interior options, including upholstery in the desired color. But the icing on the cake is under the hood. The dry-sump 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine now features two plug-and-play N-TRONIC modules and a high-performance exhaust system. As a result, the total power is 711 hp and 818 Nm of maximum torque. The dual 100mm exhaust pipes can be specified in stainless steel or carbon fiber finishes.
Thanks to this, it allows acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and a maximum speed that exceeds 325 km/h. For the exhaust you can choose stainless steel or Inconel. Those who want a different touch can equip optional 100-cell sports mufflers and catalytic converters. It also has an optional active sound management system.
