BMW M2 Coupe Manhart MH2 GTR II
The new BMW M2 Coupé is a model that offers the performance of an M in a concentrated and improved format. The launch of this new generation arrives to mark an important date: the 50th anniversary of BMW M GmbH. Now, Manhart presents its second proposal for the model, called Manhart MH2 GTR II.
According to the Bavarian brand itself, the compact dimensions, together with the technology of the propulsion system and chassis adapted from the BMW M3/BMW M4, form the core of a concept that gives the new generation of the two-door model an incredible agility and driving that remains easily controllable even when the driver explores the car's limits.
The 3.0-liter engine, which differs only in a small number of details in relation to the engine used in the BMW M3 and BMW M4, excites with its instantaneous response, its ability to offer its maximum performance in the high zone of the tachometer and its power delivery linear across the entire engine speed spectrum.
With a maximum power of 460 hp, the 6-cylinder engine of the new BMW M2 surpasses the base unit used by its predecessor by 90 hp. The maximum torque of 550 Nm is delivered between 2,650 and 5,870 rpm and maximum power is reached at 6,250 rpm. This new engine is capable of stretching up to 7,200 rpm.
As for the example shown in the images, its exterior is dressed in a layer of OTT magenta paint for a much more controversial appearance, in contrast to the champagne-colored Manhart stickers. The modified coupé also benefits from a new carbon fiber body package, larger wheels, new shock absorbers and a tremendous increase in power.
This unit features numerous carbon fiber elements on the grille and bumper air intakes, as well as a more pronounced front splitter and a renewed ventilated hood. In the side view, the pronounced skirts and the new Raffa Wheels RFS-02 Forged Series wheels stand out, measuring 20 inches on the front axle and 21 inches on the rear.
Moving to the rear, there is a brutal carbon fiber spoiler and an Alpha-N diffuser. It features four 100 mm matte black exhaust outlets, which are part of the improved exhaust system with sports pipes. Rounding off the chassis adjustments are KW Suspension's V4 helical shock absorbers, which lower the height of the German coupé.
As icing on the cake, the 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder biturbo engine gains 255 hp and 300 Nm of maximum torque thanks to Manhart's MHtronic control unit, a new carbon intake and a high-performance exhaust system. The result is no less than 715 hp of power and 850 Nm of torque.
