R5 E-Tech Roland-Garros: new electric R5 E-Tech, in the Roland-Garros special series

Roland-Garros, one of the best-known tennis tournaments in the world, has had Renault as a sponsor since 2022 and the manufacturer will take advantage of the event named in honor of the French aviator to show the electric R5 E-Tech to fans of the sport. At the same time, it takes the opportunity to launch a special series named after the tournament, which will take place between May 20th and June 9th.

The R5 E-Tech Roland-Garros will be offered in four body colors, from “pearlescent white” to “star black”, including “night blue” and “matt shist grey”. The rims are specific to this special edition, as is the interior lining, decorated with the emblem of the French tournament and a design that represents the Cross of Saint Andrew, inspired by the architecture of the stadium where Roland-Garros is played.

The R5 E-Tech, which will begin to be delivered in May in some European countries, will only arrive in Portugal in September and, initially, with the larger battery (52 kWh) and 150 hp, and should be offered for a price that It is estimated to cost around 27 to 28 thousand euros. Later, in 2025, it will be the turn of the version of the R5 E-Tech sold for €25,000 to hit the market, with 95 and 122 hp, but always with an accumulator with a capacity of 40 kWh. Proposed for €9,000 less than the previous Renault Zoe, the R5 E-Tech will be one of the models that will contribute to the democratization of electric vehicles.

The French manufacturer's involvement with the Parisian tournament includes a 150 m2 stand in a central location at the event, where spectators will be able to learn about the Zoe's successor in detail. And, as it is in the process of promoting its vehicles, Renault will make a fleet of 180 vehicles available to the tournament, including 70 of the new electric Scénic E-Tech. To these are added 40 Espace, 30 Rafale and 20 Austral, all hybrids.
