CHEVROLET ABRE PRÉ-VENDA DA NOVA S10

The new Chevrolet S10 arrived on the Brazilian market

The most successful national midsize pick-up is presented with innovations that surprise the entire market with more technology, more connectivity and more comfort.

The changes start with the design and extend to the mechanical set, as well as the technological and connectivity package. The interior has been revised, with the inclusion of the all-new Chevrolet MyLink multimedia system combined with the digital instrument panel. The S10 is brutally better.

“The pick-up segment is the fastest growing in Brazil; one in every five vehicles sold in the country has a bucket. The new S10 debuts as the most innovative model in this category and also has the endorsement of Chevrolet, a global leader in the development of pick-ups”, highlights Paula Saiani, director of Product Marketing at GM South America.

The company's purpose was to create a product that went beyond what was expected for a vehicle of this level, exceeding customer demands and that could surprise the market.

The renewed S10 reinforces its main strength: reconciling work and leisure, remaining the right option for those looking for a reliable service tool, as well as a versatile car for everyday use.

To celebrate this long-awaited launch, Chevrolet begins pre-sales at the brand's dealership network. The first consumers get two accessories specially developed for the pick-up: an unprecedented bucket protector and the Multi-board divider, which allows better cargo accommodation.

The public display of the new S10 begins at major agricultural fairs, such as ExpoLondrina, in Paraná, Tecnoshow, in Goiás, and Agrishow, in São Paulo.

In addition to the traditional work configurations, including single cab and chassis cab, the more complete double cab versions arrive first. The Z71, with an adventurous style, the LTZ, historically the best-selling, and the High Country, designed for those who demand a high level of sophistication.

The entire 2025 line comes equipped with the new 207 hp Duramax 2.8 turbodiesel engine and off-road package. Another new feature is the offer of an 8-speed automatic transmission, successor to the AT6.

The debut of the new S10 completes the renewal of Chevrolet's pick-up portfolio, consisting of the new Montana (medium-compact) and the new Silverado (premium full-size).

Brutally imposing and sophisticated...The new S10 is characterized by its sophisticated and modern design, in line with Chevrolet's current global identity. Those who are more attentive will notice that there are style details alluding to the brand's iconic models and other generations of the product, about to celebrate 30 years in Brazil.

Another new feature of the 2025 line is the greater visual differentiation between the versions, especially at the front. Here, everything is new, including the hood and fenders. The pieces were sculpted to harmonize with the new headlights, grille and bumper.

Within this proposal, the surface lines highlight the robustness of the new S10. Appliques and the optical assembly - now in Full LED - make the vehicle even more imposing.

On the side, in addition to the rear fenders, the lower finish of the doors, the design of the wheels and the emblems change. The rear also received great attention from the designers. Highlights include the LED taillights and the trunk lid that highlights the Chevrolet name engraved in low relief.

In the case of the Z71, the grille, mirrors and door handles are black; there are darkened headlights, tubular running boards and seatstays, and mixed-use tires. In the LTZ, the finish is more sober, with elements in the same color as the body and wheels with an exclusive finish. The High Country differentiates itself with its sporty trim and chrome in a North American style.

With a complete line of accessories, the new S10 can also be customized to gain a unique look, allowing the customer to choose the appearance that best suits their style or needs.

Brutally soft and technological... The cabin of the new S10 has been taken to a higher level of sophistication. And in an interesting way: bringing the level of refinement of luxury SUVs, without losing the feeling of robustness of a legitimate off-road pickup.

For the driver, the news starts with the steering wheel, from the same family as the Silverado. In addition to traditional height adjustment, the steering column now has depth adjustment.

The new S10 also inherits the virtual cockpit concept, present in General Motors global launches. However, the set brings exclusive features to the pick-up.

Another benefit for those traveling in the first row are the new seats, which are slightly wider and softer. The seat, back and side supports feature foam of different densities.

The comfort level of passengers in the new S10 increases dramatically through other engineering solutions, such as:

- Suspension recalibration

- New shock absorbers

- New telescopic steering column

- Increase in gauges

- New set of tires and wheels

The reduction in noise and vibration levels is remarkable. The merit of additional acoustic panels on the doors, columns, ceiling and even the fire wall. The quieter turbodiesel engine also contributes to this.

Finally, the wider tracks complete the equation that makes the new S10 unbeatable in comfort and stability. All this without losing its prowess: load capacity of more than a ton, engine with high torque, 4x4 and reduced traction.

Brutally intelligent and effective... Chevrolet's pick-up arrives equipped with the new generation of the Duramax 2.8 turbodiesel engine, considered one of the best in the world. For the first time, a national engine is managed by artificial intelligence (AI). This technology enhances the vehicle's performance to a level never seen before in the segment.

“Artificial intelligence is capable of processing hundreds of simulations per microsecond, also considering the condition of engine components to find the closest ideal calibration parameter”, explains Fabio Daumichen, chief engineer of the new S10. “This brings an unprecedented advantage by being able to combine performance, fuel consumption, drivability and emissions”, he adds.

The new generation of the 4-cylinder Duramax 2.8 turbodiesel engine brings hardware and software advances, leading the new S10 to surprising performance: it goes from standstill to 100 km/h in a mere 9.4 s - one second less than the previous one. Below the coveted 10 second barrier.

All of this with a difference, which is low fuel consumption. According to Inmetro, the new diesel automatic S10 travels 11.4 km/l on the highway and 9.5 km/l in the city, averages up to 13% better.

The engine, which now delivers 207 hp and 510 Nm, works in conjunction with an 8-speed sequential automatic transmission. The tune between the two ensures better use of torque and less friction in its internal components. In practice, this translates into linear accelerations, strong restarts and smoother gear changes.

The new state-of-the-art AT8 transmission is the same one that equips the North American Colorado, however, with customized calibration for the Brazilian's use of this type of pick-up.

And the new S10 arrives with new technologies, such as the 11-inch Chevrolet MyLink integrated into the 8.0-inch digital panel, induction charger and USB type A and C inputs at the front and rear.

Brutally connected and Brazilian... The S10 is constantly evolving, anticipating trends and connecting consumers to what matters most. The OnStar system is an example of this, as it transforms the user's experience with the vehicle.

It is OnStar that amplifies the pickup's connectivity, whether through native Wi-Fi with a signal up to 12 times more stable, or through remote updating of electronic systems, or through the app that controls the car's functions remotely. OnStar also offers customized safety and security services, such as automatic response in the event of an accident.

The list is completed with the arrival of:

- Rear cross traffic alert

- Blind spot alert

- Automatic high beam

- Full LED lighting

- Steering wheel with telescopic steering column

- In-person key with push-button start

- Rear lid with electric lock and weight relief system

These items are in addition to the equipment already available for the S10 line, such as remote start, automatic headlight switching, high-definition reversing camera, electronic trailer sway control, digital air conditioning, electrically adjustable driver's seat, rain, collision alert with automatic emergency braking and lane departure alert.

For the consumer, another new feature is the five-year warranty, which reiterates the brand's confidence in the durability and reliability of the new S10.

Chevrolet's pick-up has another strong argument: the lowest total cost of ownership compared to competitors. The mathematics considers factors such as the technical assistance network, scheduled inspection, insurance, fuel and even the devaluation rate at the time of resale.

It is worth mentioning that the S10 is manufactured in Brazil, precisely in the GM industrial complex in São José dos Campos (SP), which received investments and underwent an important update to produce the new model with even higher levels of quality, efficiency and sustainability.
