Ford Pro: New Ranger Tactical Force and Transit Mobile Command Center at LAAD 2024

Ford Pro displays the new Ranger XLS V6 3.0 prepared for tactical force and the Transit Chassis equipped as a mobile command center at LAAD Defense & Security 2024, the largest defense and security fair in Latin America. The event, held from April 2 to 4 at the Transamérica Expo Center, in São Paulo, is restricted to police forces, Armed Forces, authorities and professionals from the security and defense sectors, including visitors from Brazil and more than 30 countries.

Ford Pro develops special vehicles to meet the needs of each customer, with its own engineering area also equipped with laboratory structures and test tracks. This work is done in partnership with transformers, who receive technical information, manuals and manufacturing and engineering tools through the Ford Pro Convertor certification program.

The objective is for the transformation to be carried out with maximum quality, preserving the performance and original warranty of the vehicles. Ford Pro also offers training and support to customers for fleet maintenance and management.

The new tactical force Ranger shown at LAAD 2024 is the new XLS version, with a 3.0 V6 engine with 250 hp and 600 Nm of torque, 10-speed automatic transmission and 4WD. In addition to reinforced suspension and impulse bumper with integrated winch, it has 30% lighter armor.

It also has a humanized cell, kennel with air conditioning and humidifier, facial and license plate recognition system, LED signage and 360° lights with remote control. It also comes equipped with a snorkel and drone base. All of this, added to the robustness of the chassis and advanced safety technologies, makes the Ranger the ideal vehicle to face the challenges of police activity.

The Transit Chassis equipped as a mobile command center brings together the entire structure of an intelligence unit to support police and special operations. It has a telescopic mast with LED headlights and a movable camera, with 360-degree vision capabilities, 42x zoom, night vision and image stabilization. It also has three cameras on the sides and front, a facial and license plate recognition system.

Its trunk, entirely made of aluminum, has an office-type interior, with tables, four chairs, two 43-inch screens, air conditioning, coffee area, minibar, cabinets and 110/220 V sockets, perfectly equipped as a base for local operation or monitoring. Access is via facial, digital, code or card recognition, with the aid of a fixed footboard.
