Focus ST Edition 2024

Traditionally positioned as a tasty alternative, after the disappearance of the Focus RS a few years ago, the Ford Focus ST has remained almost a sporting ambassador for the compact line and as one of the most interesting models in the Ford Performance catalog.

A 'hot hatch' that now improves its qualities even further with a new special edition, the new Ford Focus ST Edition 2024 that we showed on this occasion and that the brand had already offered in 2021.

A model that, according to the company's words, is more focused on circuit use, which does not receive improvements in the mechanical part. In fact, the 2.3 EcoBoost engine remains intact.

This means that the compact sports car retains 280 hp of power and 420 Nm of maximum torque, which are managed through the traditional 6-speed manual transmission.

Thus, the most powerful Focus also remains faithful to the front-wheel drive scheme, offering remarkable performance: 250 km/h top speed and 5.7 seconds in acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h.

In addition to Brembo front brakes, this model receives an adjustable suspension from specialist KW Automotive, which Ford Performance has tested extensively, including at the Nürburgring.

According to the information provided by the brand, it has double-tube stainless steel shock absorber housings and powder-coated springs. Furthermore, compared to the conventional Focus ST, the suspension reduces the height of the standard car by 10 mm, while 20 mm more lowering is offered if desired.

Meanwhile, in the interior, details on the seats, steering wheel, gear lever, center console protections and carpets opt for the Motion Blue color.

On the other hand, the stiffness of the springs is 50% higher and 12 compression and 16 decompression adjustments are offered. And to make things a little easier, buyers receive a technical document in which suspension settings are recommended for different driving conditions, including settings specific to the Nürburgring-Nordschleife.

However, the price has not yet been announced, but Ford also announces the inclusion of 18-inch alloy wheels, which reduce unsprung masses by 10% and are fitted with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires.

In addition to complete equipment in terms of driving aids, which includes the Driver Assistance Package, this Focus ST Edition is characterized by aesthetic elements such as the exclusive Azura Blue tone, accompanied by light alloy wheels, the roof, the spoiler, the rear diffuser, exterior mirrors and other details in Glossy Black.
