Pedro Acosta ahead at the end of the 2024 MotoGP Shakedown
The Spaniard Pedro Acosta has completed the Shakedown Test of the Sepang International Circuit, with which the 2024 MotoGP preseason began, at the top of the time table, where the times show a great step forward for all brands compared to those from a year ago.
If he already shone before yesterday by being second behind Dani Pedrosa, and he dazzled yesterday with a great time that earned him third place in a day led by Pol Espargaró, today he has stood out with the best time of the day and of the combined , ahead of Pol Espargaró himself.
Both Acosta and Espargaró have spent little time on the track, one to prepare themselves for the three days of Official Test that will be held next week at the Malaysian track; and the other with his duty already fulfilled after his first three days as a tester at KTM, who has once again signed the double in the time table.
After the two Spaniards from the Austrian firm, two Frenchmen with Japanese motorcycles have finished: Johann Zarco has improved his yesterday's time by almost seven tenths to put Honda in third position ahead of his compatriot Fabio Quartararo with the Yamaha, who has barely improved one tenth from the previous day.
The top 5 was completed by Dani Pedrosa ahead of his compatriots Joan Mir and Álex Rins, with Luca Marini dropping to 1:59 as he adapted to the Honda. Cal Crutchlow has also surpassed that band, sneaking in front of Takaaki Nakagami who was the last among the starting drivers, finishing only ahead of Michele Pirro, Lorenzo Savadori and Stefan Bradl, whose presence on the track today has been almost testimonial.
