CADILLAC CT5-V E CT5-V BLACKWING 2025: ATÉ 677 CV COM TRANSMISSÃO MANUAL

20 Years, Four Generations | Cadillac V-Series

No less than 20 years have passed since the 'V' series was born at Cadillac, and to celebrate this important milestone, the American company revealed the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing. Like the conventional versions of the CT5, they feature new features in design, technology and, of course, sportiness. Where there aren't many changes is under the hood, but they won't disappoint in this regard.

The 2025 CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing will be officially presented to the public at the Daytona 24 Hours tomorrow, where the most powerful sedan will serve as the official safety car. Production is expected to begin this summer in the northern hemisphere and both models will continue to be manufactured at the Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant in Michigan. Prices are unknown for now, but a small increase cannot be ruled out.

The aesthetic changes to the CT5-V include a renewed front that gives it a lower and wider appearance. There is a new grille, renewed headlights with a vertical design and a new bumper with black details. This shade covers several details, such as the window frame and the rear spoiler. 19-inch wheels come as standard on both models.

The difference is that on the Blackwing they are forged, and behind them the brakes signed by Brembo are hidden. Six-piston calipers bite 399mm discs at the front, while at the rear we have four-piston calipers and 373mm discs. They are approximately 51 mm larger than those found in the standard ‘V’. The color palette has also been revised.

The CT5-V Blackwing is also distinguished by several more pronounced aerodynamic elements, a single-screen grille and larger air intakes. Additionally, Cadillac offers a variety of carbon fiber styling packages. As for the interior, the 33-inch curved screen is the main protagonist. It combines digital instrumentation with a Google-based infotainment system.

Other new features include an improvement in general quality, new materials and greater features, such as front seats with massage and heating. In terms of assistance, it includes the improved Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system, as well as new and expanded functions.

It is worth noting that in the Blackwing the steering wheel is exclusive and there is more standard equipment. The icing on the cake is a new performance application integrated into the vehicle. It shows power and torque information in real time - among other parameters -, adding interesting features and great customization. The entry-level engine for the Cadillac CT5-V is the well-known 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 with 365 hp and 548 Nm of maximum torque. It is coupled to a 10-speed automatic transmission and can be combined with an optional all-wheel drive system. There's no shortage of Launch Control, Magnetic Ride suspension, drive modes and an electronic limited-slip differential.

The icing on the cake is the high-performance traction management system. After the disappearance of the Dodge Charger, the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is the king of American sedans, incorporating a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine that generates 677 hp and 892 Nm of torque. It is offered with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 10-speed automatic transmission. All power goes to the rear axle.
