How the new Android Auto works with Artificial Intelligence, which reads messages, summarizes them and responds
Google had already made it known that it intended to equip Android Auto with Artificial Intelligence (AI), to maximize the potential of helping the driver, making their task easier and, at the same time, making driving safer, especially when the person behind the wheel interacts with your smartphone or the vehicle's screen. The announcement of AI integration was made during the global presentation of the Samsung Galaxy S24 which, like many other Android-based cell phones, will be able to enjoy these advantages.
Imagine yourself behind the wheel, with your cell phone associated with the car's infotainment system and, during the journey, messages begin to “rain”, some quite long, diverting your attention from the road to the screen for a long time, not to mention the complex that it could be typing the answer. It is true that using Google Assistant already simplifies the act of responding, but AI will make the driver's task even easier.
With AI, Android Auto will be able to interpret the message, however long it may be, and then summarize it, before presenting it to the driver on the central screen, thus preventing the driver from taking their eyes off the road for a longer period of time. far away. And, to respond, Android Auto suggests possible responses to the message received.
AI, associated with other Google tools, such as Google Maps, also makes it possible to quickly indicate to the driver the expected time to reach the destination. This without overloading those in charge with the calculations necessary to accurately predict the arrival time, as everything will be carried out automatically.
