Audi RSQ8-S ABT
Due to shared DNA, especially its twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine, the Audi RS Q8 is in essence a cheaper German cousin of the Lamborghini Urus. In its standard version, Lamborghini's Super SUV arrived with 650 hp (then versions such as the Urus Performante arrived with 666 hp to up the ante), while the RS Q8 had to settle for 600 hp. However, ABT Sportsline, specialists in squeezing the performance out of all Audi models, has created a special version that means the Audi RS Q8 never again has to live in the shadow of its Italian cousin.
This is because the Audi RSQ8-S presents itself as a proposal halfway between the standard model and another ABT version such as the even more extreme RSQ8-R, although it has enough power to reach 700 hp, more than that seen in any Urus to date.
However, power is not the only thing that stands out about this RSQ8-S. ABT Sportsline has improved the appearance of this sporty SUV with a new body kit that includes parts such as a new carbon fiber splitter, new fins on the side skirts, a new spoiler and also, of course, a new and more aggressive diffuser.
Even Audi's famous Single Frame grille now appears with a carbon frame in this special edition from ABT. The German tuner's folks have also fitted a new set of 23-inch ten-spoke wheels with a glossy black finish, although they also offer another 22-inch set.
But let's talk about what's truly interesting. ABT adjusted Audi's 4.0 twin-turbo V8 engine, which originally offered 600 hp and 800 Nm of maximum torque, and which has now increased to 690 hp and 880 Nm of maximum torque. A good increase in power thanks once again to ABT technology, which is also accompanied by a completely new exhaust system, including outlets and silencer, and a lowered suspension that brings the sports SUV even closer to the ground.
ABT also offers all customers a good customization offer when it comes to the interior, including carbon fiber pieces on the dashboard and seats, as well as an exclusive start button among other special details. For now, ABT has not said anything about its price and number of units that will be manufactured.
