Ioniq 5 N for the North American market

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N is one of the most important new products presented at the Los Angeles Motor Show for the local market. This is the sportiest version of the electric model, with specific details for consumers in the United States.

In relation to the versions sold in other markets, there are no changes to the mechanics, which continue to rely on a 100% electric engine with 641 hp in combination with automatic transmission, four-wheel drive and a battery with 84 kWh capacity. For now, the official autonomy figure has not been reported.

Aesthetically, it is a much more striking car, recognized by the details painted in glossy black and orange, the generous alloy wheels and the specific front grille. They also include stiffer suspensions and all the electronics have been adapted to its more dynamic character.

According to the brand's statement, the new Hyundai Ioniq 5 N supports loads of up to 350 kW of power, reducing the recharge waiting time to just 10 minutes to go from 10 to 80%. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is achieved in 3.3 seconds and the maximum speed is limited to 162 mph, around 260 km/h.

The standard equipment will be very complete in both comfort and safety, highlighting driving aids and a multimedia system with the latest in terms of connectivity. The price for the North American market remains to be confirmed, which will probably be known shortly before its launch next spring in the northern hemisphere.
