Subaru WRX TR: the exclusive model for markets such as Japan and the United States

The Subaru WRX is one of the most attractive sedans you can buy today. Unfortunately, it is not available on the Brazilian market. However, in markets such as Japan and the United States we can find the new generation, which now includes the new Subaru WRX TR, a model more focused on user demands.

Expected to hit the market in early 2024 after its debut at Subiefest Florida 2023 last week, most of the changes introduced in the new model are found under the body.

Among the most visible changes to the 2024 Subaru WRX TR we can find the 19-inch wheels in the satin gray finish. They are fitted with high-performance Bridgestone Potenza S007 245/35 R19 tires which, together, provide greater grip and precision without sacrificing comfort. Behind, there is a brake system designed by Brembo.

It includes six-piston calipers at the front and two-piston calipers at the rear. They appear painted red, with larger pads and discs, as well as a larger master cylinder. Subaru claims the result not only provides greater braking power, but also reduced wear during heavy use and superior pedal feel.

Inside, we have stiffer springs, new shock absorbers and a modified steering rack to enhance its precision. As for the interior, we find renewed wraparound seats that bear the Recaro label. They are electrically adjustable in 8 positions and, in contrast to the gray and black Ultrasuede upholstery, feature red stitching.

Under the hood, it inherits the 2.4-liter Turbo boxer engine that develops 275 hp of power and 350 Nm of maximum torque. In the United States, it is coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission. The icing on the cake is all-wheel drive and Subaru's EyeSight driver assistance package.
