Brand presents the new GT-Air 3 helmet
Known for equipping some of the most famous riders in the world, Shoei is once again taking the lead by introducing a significant upgrade to its angular GT-Air line of helmets.
At first glance, the GT-Air 3 may look remarkably similar to its predecessor, the GT-Air 2, especially when it’s decked out in its signature matte blue color. However, a closer look reveals a number of noticeable improvements.
These include a redesigned ventilation system for better airflow, a centrally positioned main visor locking mechanism, subtle changes to the helmet’s aerodynamics and an enlarged sun visor. The practicality of the side communication device adapter and the patented Shoei Comlink system are detailed on the manufacturer’s website.
Subtle changes have been made to the interior of the GT-Air 3, probably in response to ECE 22.06 homologation. Significantly, the chin lock has been improved to be easy to use and still equipped with a secure locking system. Made of stainless steel, it ensures both safety and practicality.
Although specific noise reduction figures are unknown, the GT-Air 3 is expected to continue to build on the reputation of its predecessor, the GT-Air 2, as one of the quietest helmets on the market.
In terms of size and comfort, the GT-Air 3 will offer three different sizes of pegs – XS to M, L, as well as XL to XXL head sizes. four sizes of cheek pads, measured in millimeters (31, 35, 39 and 43 mm), will be available, allowing for a customized fit. The package will include a Pinlock visor and a chin curtain for additional practicality and protection.

Enthusiasts looking for graphic designs can choose from options such as Discipline TC-1, TC-2 and TC-6, Realm TC-1, TC-5 and TC-10, and Scenario TC-3 and TC-5.
