''Super rich'' man parks his Ferrari in a police parking spot in England
The owner of a Ferrari 812 has come under fire in St. Ives, Cornwall, for parking his car in a dedicated police space. Residents and tourists of the coastal region were surprised by the registration of the luxury car, which can cost around R$ 6 million (Brazilian currency), in the vacancy intended for police authorities, last Wednesday.
According to local newspaper Cornwall Live, residents of the region commented on the case. "There's a new unmarked police car in town," joked Chris Cheetham, who took the photo.
The spot is in a region that gives privileged access to the waterfront, which may have motivated the driver of the luxury vehicle to use the point to leave his Ferrari.
The local portal also pointed out that, although the local police have already used Lotus cars, model Evora GT410 Sport, valued at around R$ 500 thousand (Brazilian currency), the probability of Ferrari being a police car is not identified is small.
Other residents reacted to the photo by calling the owner "filthy rich" and saying it was "an excellent example of how rich people believe they are above the law".
The Ferrari 812 Superfast car was defined by the company in 2018 as the model with the most powerful engine ever manufactured. The vehicle can reach 340 kilometers per hour and, in addition, it is capable of reaching 100 kilometers in three seconds.
