TOYOTA
Toyota Land Cruiser 2024
Toyota has just revealed the new Land Cruiser (here in US spec), which features retro details, a hybrid drivetrain and improved off-road features.
Codenamed J250, the new model is based on the TNGA-F platform, like the new Lexus GX and Land Cruiser 300 series, but with a more affordable price than the first and smaller dimensions than the second.
The new Land Cruiser is 4920 mm long, 2139 mm wide, 1859 mm high and has a wheelbase of 2850 mm.
The basic equipment level and First Edition get round LED headlights, while the mid-level equipment gets rectangular units.
At the rear, the simple, square corner lights stand out, while the full-size spare wheel sits under the rear bumper.
The Land Cruiser comes standard with all-season tires, regardless of the selected equipment level.
The engine is an I-Force Max 2.4-liter turbo four-cylinder, paired with an electric motor and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The combined power of the system is 331 HP and 630 Nm of torque.
The new generation comes standard with four-wheel drive and an automatic center differential with limited slip and rear differential lock. 221 mm ground clearance, as well as 18 to 20 inch wheels should be mentioned here.
All versions of the Land Cruiser will come standard with Crawl Control to allow the driver to focus on steering through obstacles, while Downhill Assist Control helps manage speed when descending steep inclines.
The base version gets an 8.0-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia system, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel and a six-speaker audio system.
The stronger package is better equipped as it has heated and ventilated SofTex front seats with electric adjustment. They are joined by a larger 12.3-inch infotainment system and an audio system with ten speakers. Buyers looking for more luxury can opt for the Premium Package, which adds heated and ventilated leather seats, a head-up display and a 14-speaker JBL premium audio system.
The 2024 Land Cruiser comes standard with Toyota’s Safety Sense 3.0 driver assistance package. It includes Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Pedestrian Detection, Automatic High Beams, Road Sign Recognition, Proactive Driving Assistance and Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Monitoring…
There will be a palette of seven colors available (Black, Ice Cap, Wind Chill Pearl, Underground, Meteor Shower, Trail Dust and Heritage Blue), as well as two two-tone combinations (Trail Dust and Heritage Blue paired with a Grayscape roof).
The vehicle will be available on the American market from spring, at a price of around 55,000 dollars for the base version.
