Nissan Z NISMO 2024
There are many car models that are sold in other markets, but not here in Brazil. One of them is the Nissan Z, a sports coupe with an interesting look and performance, which now debuts an even more powerful and sporty NISMO version.
The Japanese manufacturer has just revealed its new Nissan Z NISMO 2024, more powerful and with more advanced aerodynamics, designed for circuits, which now offers better performance in every way, although the manufacturer has not yet announced the performance figures. of your new high-flying coupe.
Under the hood of this Z NISMO is the same 3.0 liter V6 biturbo engine as the regular Z, but squeezed to develop 426 hp, instead of the conventional 405, as well as a maximum torque of 521 Nm, between 2,000 and 5,200 rpm, compared to the previous 475 Nm. There is also a new Sport driving mode, designed for the circuit.
Finally, the cabin features sports-style Recaro seats in leather and Alcantara, a steering wheel with a red central branding, digital instrumentation with specific NISMO graphics and various red accents. Pricing for the US market has not yet been announced, although the launch of the Z NISMO is scheduled for the last quarter of this year.
Among the modifications, the brand highlights the increase in the blowing pressure of the turbos, improvements in the cooling system and a new electronic management.
Probably one of the biggest drawbacks of the car, at least for the most purists, is that unlike the regular Z, this one is only offered with a 9-speed automatic transmission, but tuned by NISMO for the occasion.
For the rest, we find NISMO-specific Rays wheels, 19 inches in diameter, shod with Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT600 tires, similar to those on the Nissan GT-R, but in this case with a slightly less generous measurement of 285/35 on the axle rear.
Other important changes to improve the behavior of the model have to do with a greater downforce, thanks to what Nissan calls the 'G-Nose' front, which includes a new grille, a new front splitter and additional aerodynamic fins.
At the rear, for its part, there is a wider and taller, albeit discreet, three-piece spoiler, as well as a black tone diffuser and two exhaust outlets.
Of course, there are also suspension and brake modifications that make a difference. Nissan installed specific stabilizer bars, dampers with a new adjustment and stiffer springs. The chassis is also more rigid, to improve the car's performance on the circuit, and the brake system has 381 mm discs at the front and 350 mm at the rear.
