Citroen decided to present its Type Holidays van at the Dusseldorf Motor Show, one of the world’s leading events for leisure vehicles.

The concept combines the legendary Citroen Type H with the more modern SpaceTourer, resulting in an interior arrangement that will soon be available across the Citroen network, through a range called “Holidays”.

Citroen has always been inspired by the idea of ​​freedom and sharing, and it was only natural that it should strengthen its commitment to this fast-growing market by building on the quality of the SpaceTourer.

Since its foundation, Citroen has been a popular brand that promotes freedom of movement. The brand has the knowledge and experience to develop practical, ingenious and affordable models that are synonymous with escape and leisure.

Citroen’s recognized legitimacy in the leisure world makes it a key player in the market: it is the second largest supplier of motorhomes in Europe. He wanted to showcase this heritage by introducing the SpaceTourer in Type H guise, based on the work of Italian coachbuilder Caselani. This Citroen partner has already created numerous “neo-retro” bodies for Citroen models. “Van life” is a different way of traveling. So with a vehicle like Type Holidays that really stands out from the crowd, you’re in for a real treat. Its unique design, as well as its gray color, is a tribute to Citroen’s legendary Type H.

This investment is a response to a real social phenomenon. Lovers of freedom and nature, those who want to open their doors and watch the fantastic scenery from their bed, and people who want their independence while keeping an eye on their budget, many people are switching to camper vans. It can go practically anywhere – it’s less than 2m tall – which means it can fit in a car park (in the city as well as on the beach) and be used daily, all year round. It now represents around 90,000 new vehicles every year in Europe – that’s more than half of all leisure vehicle sales. – A retractable roof that allows you to stand upright in the living space in Type Holidays and has a large bed to accommodate two people in night mode

– A bench in two rows that opens to form a comfortable bed for two people. And this bench can be completely removed to free up storage space

– Two front seats that turn towards the rear of the vehicle.

– Complete kitchenette (cooking area, sink, refrigerator)

– A folding table for dining or work and several cabinets to store your things

– Webasto heating system that provides optimal temperature
