BMW R 18 - 100 ANOS CHEGA AO BRASIL EM EDIÇÃO LIMITADA A 30 UNIDADES

BMW R 18 - commemorative edition for the 100th anniversary of BMW Motorrad arrives on the Brazilian market

Commemorative edition for the 100 years of BMW Motorrad, the BMW R 18 - 100 Years already has the grips within reach of Brazilian motorcyclists. That's because the bike is already on sale at national dealerships, with only 30 units out of the 1,923 units produced - which requires high speed for those who want to ride the Cruiser, inspired by the classic BMW R 5, from the 30's of the last century.

With classic and stylish lines and the largest boxer engine ever produced in the history of BMW Motorrad, the R 18 - 100 Years stands out for its classic paintwork and chrome surfaces. The color combination of the BMW R 18 - 100 Years combines black paint and high-gloss chrome surfaces, as well as double white lines and a '100 Years' badge. The chrome paint concept is also found on the rear wheel fender in combination with the white double line.

The front wheel fender and side covers are painted black, the seat has a bitone finish, combining black with Oxford red and reinforcing the exclusive character of the model, while the exhaust is signed by the renowned Akrapovic. In addition, the R 18 - 100 Years is equipped with the Option 719 package, a line with customization accessories and parts with machined, painted and often handmade details by BMW Motorrad.

Details...The centerpiece of the R 18 is a 2-cylinder boxer engine, developed for this model. With 91 hp at 4,750 rpm of power and 158 Nm of torque at 3,000 rpm, the engine still has a beautiful roar, a trademark of the Cruiser segment. The gearbox is a six-speed.

The suspension elements of the new BMW R 18 do not require electronic adjustment. Instead, a telescopic fork and center suspension strut allow for damper adjustment. As on the legendary BMW R 5, the telescopic fork tubes are wrapped in fork sleeves. Suspension travel is 120 mm at the front and 90 mm at the rear. The BMW R 18's braking system consists of a dual disc brake at the front and a single disc brake at the rear, together with four-piston fixed calipers, both with Integral ABS.

The model also offers three standard riding modes, something unusual in the segment, to be able to adapt to individual rider preferences. There's also ASC (Automatic Stability Control), MSR (Dynamic Engine Brake Control), Hill Start Control for easy starting on hills, cruise control, all LED lights and a keyless start system.
