ROLLS-ROYCE PHANTOM BY SPOFEC: OPULÊNCIA EXAGERADA

Rolls-Royce Phantom Spofec

The Rolls-Royce Phantom isn't exactly the first car that comes to mind when we think of high-performance vehicles, but it certainly doesn't lack for power, thanks to the powerful V12 biturbo engine that it hides under its huge hood.

Although it wasn't conceived as a car with sporting aspirations, tuner Spofec wanted to give the luxury British sedan even more power and a more imposing appearance, thanks to a lowered bodywork and new wheels.

On an aesthetic level, the most striking feature of this Rolls-Royce Phantom are the huge Spofec SP3 wheels, 24 inches in diameter and in a polished finish, which were developed together with the American manufacturer Vossen, responsible for manufacturing them through CNC machining.

The small wheel openings are not merely aesthetic, as they allow fresh air to reach the interior to cool the brake system. According to Spofec, these wheels are tremendously tough and are also available for the long chassis version, the Phantom EWB.

These wheels are shod with tires measuring 295/30 R24, while the standard pneumatic suspension has been modified to lower the body height by 40 millimeters compared to the factory Phantom, although from 140 km/h the suspension returns to the original level.

But Spofec's most important improvement for the British model is found under the hood, as the 6.75-liter V12 biturbo engine receives an electronic control module that modifies the engine's injection and ignition, also raising the blowing pressure of the two turbo compressors.

The result is an increased power of 114 hp, for a total of 685 hp at 5,400 rpm, compared to 571 hp as standard. In terms of performance, the Phantom by Spofec now accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds, or 5.1 seconds in the case of the long chassis version, but in both cases it is three tenths less than the series model.

Finally, the German tuner, which is part of the Novitec Group, also offers a set of aesthetic modifications to the exterior of this Rolls-Royce, including changes to the front part, with a new splitter that increases the aerodynamic load, and a subtle spoiler over the trunk lid, for example.
