PORSCHE 911 TURBO PREPARADO PELA SSR PERFORMANCE ALCANÇA OS 860 CV

911 SSR Performance

For most mortals, the Porsche 911 lineup offers enough options to find an ideal version in terms of power, output and performance, but even the wildest versions can underperform for certain customers.

For this type of user, the German tuner SSR Performance offers a package of improvements for the Porsche 911 Turbo of the current generation (992), but intends to offer only 10 examples of the so-called SSR GT, much more powerful than the series car.

In this case, the SSR GT manages to draw up to 860 hp from the 3.7 liter boxer biturbo engine of the 911 Turbo, in addition to 950 Nm of maximum torque, compared to the 580 hp and 750 Nm of the standard Turbo, without the 'S'.

The specialist achieves this significant increase in power by modifying the turbos, revising the intake system, replacing the exhaust system and with a new electronic management for both the 6-cylinder boxer engine and the automatic transmission.

For now, SSR has not provided figures on the acceleration of this GT, but we know that the top speed is electronically limited to no less than 338 km/h, which means an increase of 18 km/h with respect to the factory 911 Turbo.

The SSR GT also incorporates adjustable shock absorbers, with three settings on the front axle and four on the rear, while the brake equipment includes new pads, Stahlflex calipers and an improved cooling system, according to the tuner.

Aerodynamics was also an important focus for SSR, which claims it has tripled the aerodynamic load of the 911 Turbo as standard, thanks to a slotted hood (like the last GT3), fins at the extreme ends of the bumper, work on the lower parts of the vehicle and a swan neck rear spoiler.

To reach this extreme, the specialist developed his improvements over two years, with the aim of making the car a monster both on the road and on the circuit. The 10 customers who decide to purchase it will be able to work with the company to choose colors and interior upholstery.
