KOENIGSEGG

Regera: the fastest car from 0 to 400 km/h and back

Almost a month ago, Rimac Nevera was on the front page of all the specialized publications with his newly established records. In a single day, Nevera had managed to set no less than 23 world records, thus attracting the attention of car enthusiasts around the world. Among other things, the Nevera then became the fastest production car from 0 to 400 km/h and back to 0.

The Croatian Rimac Nevera supercar had at that time managed to accelerate from 0 to 400 km/h and back to 0 in a time of only 29.94 seconds, setting a world record in this respect. However, the record was broken by another supercar, namely the Koenigsegg Regera. The Swedish supercar managed the same lap in just 28.81 seconds. Thus, the Swedes’ model was 1.1 seconds faster than Rimac Nevera.

The Koenigsegg Regera did not stop there, however, and in the same session it also managed to set another world record. More precisely, appropriate Engine1, the Regera also became the fastest production car in the world accelerating up to 250 miles per hour, the equivalent of 402 km/h. The Swedish supercar achieved this incredible feat in a time of only 29.6 seconds.

The fastest production car that accelerates to 250 miles per hour...The model that managed to set the two world records mentioned in the previous lines was equipped with a set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires. The record was set on a 3,274-meter-long runway at Orebro Airport in proximity to the capital Stockholm.

The Koenigsegg Regera is one of the most powerful supercars in the world, being equipped with a V8 bi-turbo engine capable of developing 1,521 horsepower. Now, it remains to be seen how long the new records set by Regera will stand.
