VW – showed the new Tiguan in disguise

The 3rd generation of the Volkswagen Tiguan will go on sale at the beginning of 2024, but before the world premiere scheduled for autumn this year, the factory has already shown the new compact leisure car – albeit disguised. It can be seen that, like the ID.4, gently curved lines are used, with an unchanged wheelbase (2681 mm), the body is stretched by 32 mm, and according to the news, the 7-seater Allspace version will not have a direct successor – as a family leisure car the new generation of the Tayron type will be marketed. Thanks to the MQB Evo technical base, many more comfort and safety extras will be available, from LED matrix headlights with a range of 500 meters to heated and ventilated massage seats.

The central touchscreen will have a 12.9-inch diagonal in the case of lower equipment, and a 15-inch screen will be available for an additional fee; the instrument unit is always a 10.25-inch monitor. The head-up display already projects the information on the windshield, a separate small touch screen will be used to control the optional 4Motion all-wheel drive, from which the off-road programs will also be available. 

The drives have not been detailed either, but it is certain that the Volkswagen Tiguan will also receive the improved plug-in hybrid drive with an electric range of more than 100 km and a system output of 200-272 horsepower, but TSI and TDI engines will also be available, it is expected all with mild hybrid assistance.
