FORD MONDEO SW ‘PEPPA PROJECT’ BY SS TUNING: INSPIRADO NO FAMOSO DESENHO ANIMADO

Mondeo SW 'Peppa Project'

The Ford Mondeo is no longer available on the European market. The station wagon version stood out for its interior space and comfort, which is why the Ukrainian specialist SS Tuning chose the vehicle as the basis for this preparation. The most curious thing is that the modification is called 'Peppa Project', as it is inspired by none other than Peppa Pig.

The appearance is not what you would expect from a preparation based on cartoons, because this preparation is quite interesting. What is not known are the model's power figures, as the fifth generation Ford Mondeo station wagon was offered with a wide range of gasoline, diesel and hybrid mechanics. The first of these was the 1.5 Ecoboost with 165 hp.

The hybrid version delivered 187 hp and the diesel block 2.0 EcoBlue was offered in versions with 120, 150 and 190 hp. The two most powerful versions could count on an 8-speed automatic transmission and the EcoBlue 190 hp was the option for those who wanted total four-wheel drive. In any case, no adjustments to the mechanics of this 'Peppa Project' are mentioned.

The visual modifications begin with the Ford emblems being replaced by the Peppa Pig insignia and a bodywork bathed in the pink color of the iconic cartoon. Originally, the model sported a gray color, but Inozetek has worked its magic. To all this SS Tuning has added an aggressive body package that does not disappoint at all.

This includes bumper extensions, flared wheel arches, new air intakes, a prominent diffuser and a generous rear spoiler. In addition, it also equips some elements of the ST-Line, such as the bumpers, the honeycomb grille and the headlights, in addition to replacing the chrome elements with black. Much better than a Ford Mondeo ST, if it had existed.

The icing on the cake is a new set of 20-inch TEC Speedwheels GT8 wheels shod in Toyo Tires Proxes tires. There's no shortage of spacers and a KW Suspension suspension lowering kit. Inside there are also some new features, such as the steering wheel. Adds pink upholstery and carbon fiber elements.
