CHEVROLET CORVETTE C8 BY LARTE DESIGN: UMA DIETA RICA EM FIBRA DE CARBONO E 500 CV

Corvette C8 Larte Design

In addition to its sporty design, a large part of the attractiveness of the new Corvette C8 lies in its mechanical configuration, as we remember that it is the first mid-engined Corvette, an idea that had been being generated at the company for years. Concretely, we are talking about a 6.2-liter V8 LT2 engine aspirated with 502 hp and 637 Nm of torque.

On an aesthetic level, the Corvette C8 displays an imposing front featuring large air intakes and a sloping windshield. These are complemented by an elongated hood with sculpted shapes where two sharp headlights and a subtle front splitter appear. On the sides, the muscular arches with 20-inch wheels stand out.

Its sharp lines seem to end in the prominent side air intakes, which widen the shoulders to give way to a completely renewed rear. The horizontality at the rear of the Corvette C8 is evident from the first glance, with eye-catching elements such as a generous spoiler, LED lighting that simulates an enraged look and new air intakes.

The icing on the cake is a huge diffuser that houses four chrome exhaust outlets and the glass cover for the new V8 engine, which has ventilation inlets at its ends. But that's not all, because despite the novelties, the engineers were able to keep the roof collapsible, although we additionally have a convertible version.

Now, for those who don't like the original design, Larte Design has just announced a carbon fiber aerodynamic package for the Corvette. Named Avatar, the pack stands out for its glossy finish. These pieces start at the front with a new splitter with aerodynamic fins.

The American specialist located in Orange Hills, California, has also added new fins in front of the air intakes and a new hood with sharper lines. In it we see screens imitating carbon fiber on the panels of the forequarters. The side view is dominated by carbon fiber skirts, covers for the large air intakes and housings for the rear-view mirrors.

Highlight for the set of 20-inch forged wheels finished in black, which display a particularly aggressive spoke design. The rear is perhaps the most eye-catching, especially thanks to the redesigned bumper and the athletic diffuser. It houses the exhaust pipes in the center, like on the Corvette C8 Z06. Also missing is a new engine cover and a fixed airfoil.
