CB650R: new colors, more fierce!

One of Honda’s bigbike models with the Neo Sport Cafe design, namely the CB650R, comes with a new color with a black edition theme, namely Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic.

The new matte black coating can now be seen on several components, starting from the front suspension, engine cover, and on the shroud to strengthen the masculine impression.

Not only that, for the Candy Chromosphere Red color, there is also refreshment on the shroud which is now covered in dark color (doff black).

Marketing Director of AHM, Octavianus Dwi said, the latest CB650R still maintains the original design with a modern touch according to the needs of today’s drivers.

“The touch of retro and street fighter in the appearance of the CB650R perfects the lifestyle of the rider so that they are even more proud as the center of attention when driving,” said Octavianus.

In the performance sector, the CB650R is equipped with a 650 cc DOHC, 6-speed 4-cylinder engine, producing 89 hp with a peak torque of 60.7 M, at 8,000 rpm.

The fuel tank capacity reaches 15.4 liters, which is mounted on an elliptical diamond steel chassis. The setting is stiffer around the headstock and flexible on the spar side, giving it a high handling character.

The profile of the driver’s seat is slightly inclined forward, helping to reach the feet more perfectly to the ground, with a seat height of 810 mm.

The aluminum rims are covered with 120/70-R17 front tires and 180/55-R17 rear tires. This model uses four-piston calipers on the front brakes with 310 mm discs.

Meanwhile, at the rear, there is a single-piston caliper with a 240 mm disc, producing abundant braking power with 2-channel ABS as standard.

LED technology has been embedded in all the lighting, starting from the round design of the headlights, turn signals and brakes.

Full digital panel meter display with blue lighting, contains information on gear position and shift up indicator, engine speed, speed, odometer, fuel, average fuel consumption, and time display.

The front suspension is paired with an inverted telescopic Showa 41 mm type, while at the rear the aluminum swing arm has a curved design with an arc above the exhaust on the right side, plus settings up to 10 levels.

The assist/slipper clutch feature is embedded, making the clutch lever easier to operate, while reducing the effect of the engine brake when downshifting quickly.

Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) is a mandatory tool for the CB650R, which adjusts engine power to optimize rear wheel torque and reduce slippage.
