MINI ACEMAN 2024 CHEGARÁ COM 400 KM DE AUTONOMIA

Aceman 2024: the brand's new 100% electric urban SUV that will hit the market in 2024

MINI has released the main technical specifications of its new 100% electric urban SUV, the Aceman 2024, which will feature a five-door body and will be below the Countryman in terms of size.

As we reported a few days ago here, the Countryman will be larger than its predecessor and will be manufactured in Germany on the same platform as the new BMW iX1, leaving a space in the line of the British brand, which will be filled by the new Aceman, whose concept car of the same name was introduced last year.

According to the BMW Blog (source that usually has correct information), the new 'battery' model will not have electrified combustion versions, unlike other MINI vehicles. However, in 2030, the brand will switch its entire line to electric propulsion.

The Aceman will be manufactured in China by Spotlight Automotive, a 50% joint venture between BMW Group and Great Wall Motors. In principle there will be two versions for sale: E and SE.

The Access option will utilize a single front-mounted electric motor that develops 178 hp. It will be powered by a 40 kWh battery that will offer up to 300 km of autonomy on the WLTP cycle. If the option is the Aceman SE, the power is increased up to 218 hp and the range with a tambie´n charge increases to 400 km, thanks to a battery of greater capacity, with 54 kWh.

The Aceman will be inscribed within the urban SUV, as it measures 4.07 meters in length. Its height is not very outstanding, 1.49 meters, while the wheelbase of 2.60 meters is remarkable, if we take into account the length.

Therefore, the car should offer a very spacious interior, at least for the legs, something common in vehicles designed from a specific platform for electric cars.

The official presentation will take place sometime in 2024, after the world launches of the electric MINI Cooper 3-door and the Countryman, scheduled for September this year at the Munich Motor Show.
