CITROËN C5 X GANHA UMA NOVA IMAGEM INSPIRADA NO CX DE 1974

Citroën C5X with a new image

The Citroën C5 X is a hybrid positioned between crossover and sedan that is part of the French brand current product line. However, a Chinese YouTube channel has decided to give Citroën C5 X a new image inspired by the 1974 CX, one of the company's classics, and the result is a vehicle with a futuristic retro style and a personalized interior.

The first thing that had to change from C5 x to make it more similar to Citroën CX was the free height in relation to the ground. The classic was equipped with hydraulic suspension that allowed the vehicle to be much more stick to the ground. Therefore, the C5 X has gained a pneumatic suspension of the parallel market that allowed to reduce its free ground height by 100 mm.

Then, a complete body kit consisting of wheel arches in the body color and the lower parts of the sides and the bumpers now display a chrome finish. The same finish was applied to the rearview mirror carcasses and door door handles, combining with the upper edge of the original CX windows.

The whole set rests now on a new game of chrome alloy wheels and the rear wheels are partially covered like many of the Citroën classics.

With regard to the interior, youtube channel experts have stoopled the entire C5 X cabin with beige leather for benches, which have a very classic style, and the glass frames. There are also brown frames on the panel and the alcantara details matching the doors, as well as the orange suede to the ceiling and the pillars.

This whole project was done in the measure and totally personalized with the intention of showing what a Citroën C5 x would be like if the French brand had been inspired by the classic CX. There is no intention to market these improvements or the body kit.
