VOLKSWAGEN ID. BUZZ BY PRIOR DESIGN: A KOMBI ELÉTRICA MAIS ESPORTIVA E RADICAL

VW ID. BUZZ BY PRIOR DESIGN...German specialist Prior Design has just unveiled what will undoubtedly be one of the most radical packages available for the Volkswagen ID. buzz. Everything indicates that this very exclusive body package will be the ideal complement to the highest performance version of the range, the ID. Buzz GTX that we will meet soon.

When we meet him, the ID. Buzz in its GTX version will receive the most aggressive aesthetic decorations both on the outside and on the inside, as already occurs in the ID.4 and iD.5 GTX. It will combine two electric motors to develop up to 335 hp (250 kW) of power. The traction will be on both axles and the torque should exceed the 460 Nm of its line brothers.

It is expected to use the lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 77 kWh, which could give it a range of more than 450 km according to the WLTP cycle. This battery can be recharged using super-fast sockets with powers of up to 135 kW to obtain remarkable autonomy in just 30 minutes. It also accepts alternating current up to 11 kW (integrated charger).

Prior Design proposes a body package that, without being overdone, completely modifies the Volkswagen ID's aesthetics. buzz. The changes start with a lower section of the front grille that has been darkened compared to the standard model's body-color grille.

On the front bumper we can appreciate a subtle spoiler, while the ground clearance is reduced with shorter springs. From a side view, the flared skirts with discreet flics add the finishing touch, while the turbo-fan design wheels fit the ID's retro design. Buzz perfectly.

Moving to the rear, there's a generous roof-mounted spoiler, a revamped, more aggressive bumper and a new rear diffuser. Prior Design welcomed its followers and asked them to send in their comments on the proposed modifications to the ID. buzz. If they are well received, the German preparer could start developing and manufacturing the package at the end of this year.
