POLESTAR 2 BST 270 APARECE RODANDO NO CIRCUITO ESPANHOL DE ASCARI

Polestar 2 BST 270: the open-road electrified vehicle

Although the Swedish manufacturer Polestar has an important connection with Volvo, the company wants to differentiate its products as more exciting and fun to drive models, which is why it unveiled a car focused on the circuits last year.

The so-called Polestar 2 BST 270, fully electric and suitable for driving on open roads, is committed to performance and fun on a speed circuit, thanks to different mechanical and chassis modifications.

As already announced by the manufacturer last June, they intend to manufacture only 270 copies of this electric monster, and now Polestar has released a video with the car running on the spectacular Spanish circuit Ascari Race Resort de Ronda, in Malaga.

The Andalusian layout was precisely the one used by the brand to complete the adjustment of the 2 BST 270 before its presentation, so that the model is as if it were at home.

The new video shows the car running at Ascari, but also includes commentary from Polestar's chief test engineer, Joakim Rydholm, who explains all of the modifications to this special limited edition of the Swedish EV and how they enhance the on-track driving experience.

Remembering that the Polestar 2 BST 270 has a lowered height suspension, with adjustable Öhlins dampers and 20% stiffer springs. In addition, it has specific 21-inch wheels shod with Pirelli P Zero tires for greater grip. In addition, its two electric motors add up to 476 hp, as well as a maximum torque of 680 Nm, and are powered by the same 78 kWh battery as the conventional Polestar 2.

In terms of aesthetics, Polestar has redesigned the front bumper and optionally offers a black decorative strip that runs through the center of the car's bodywork, inspired by the prototype presented by the brand at the 2021 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
