CBR 1000RR-R FIREBLADE SP 2023...Winning the title at Superbike Brasil 2022, the main competition in Brazilian motorcycle racing, proves the efficiency of Honda's #1 super sports car, the CBR 1000RR-R Fireblade SP. Incidentally, for a decade now the champion motorcycle of this tournament is precisely the Fireblade.
Developed under the supervision of HRC - Honda Racing Corporation, the model launched in Brazil in 2021 receives occasional improvements that have not technically revolutionized it, but aim to further improve engine characteristics, handling and aerodynamics to offer even better performance on the track.
For 30 years, the name Fireblade has been synonymous with victories, but also with a versatile motorcycle, which favors extreme handling and ease of riding, the basis of the 'Total Control' philosophy born with the 1st Fireblade in 1992.
Able to satisfy the most experienced and talented professional pilots as well as those who want to improve their skills in track-days or training without competitive pretensions, the CBR 1000RR-R Fireblade SP 2023, received modifications that improved the engine response in low and medium rotations , benefiting acceleration out of corners. The HSTC traction control system is now more finely tuned, which has resulted in increased throttle sensitivity.
In the 2023 version, the four-cylinder in-line engine of the Fireblade SP kept its maximum power and torque unchanged: 217.5 hp of maximum power at 14,500 rpm, and maximum torque 112.8 Nm at 12,500 rpm. Ultra-compact, this modern engine features forged aluminum pistons and titanium connecting rods. The filter box and the air intake channels that feed it have been redesigned to optimize flows, as well as the intake ducts adjusted to increase the speed of the air flow. The same happened with the exhaust gas ducts, which reach the catalytic converter more efficiently, which was achieved by the new design of the intermediate portion of the 4-2-1 exhaust system.
The return spring load of the electronic throttle TBW system has been reduced, which together with the adjustment of the HSTC traction control system gave the rider a more precise connection between the throttle grip and the rear wheel.
The Riding Modes combine four parameters: power (P), engine braking (EB), anti-wheeling (W) and HSTC system (T). Adjustable Launch-control and revised Quickshifter are part of this sophisticated Fireblade 2023 electronics package.

The Diamond Architecture chassis in aluminum uses the rear part of the engine to attach the fully adjustable Öhlins TTX36 Smart-EC spring-shock assembly, which is connected to a long aluminum suspension scale through joints (links). The design of this scale as well as aerodynamic devices such as the side fins, mudguards and lower part of the fairing derive from the RC 213V, the machine used by Honda in MotoGP. The front suspension, a sophisticated Öhlins NPX with 43 mmØ tubes, uses the Öhlins S-EC - Semi active Electronic Control system. As for the brakes, 330 mmØ front discs have four-piston Brembo Stylema calipers. The ABS system provides adjustment for track use.
The six-axis IMU inertial platform monitors the Fireblade's dynamic parameters and acts by adjusting the various control devices in real time, including the three levels of the electronic steering damper HES - Honda Electronic Steering Damper and the system that reduces wheel propensity. rear lifts off the ground under heavy braking - Rear Lift Control.
The panel with a 5.0-inch TFT screen can be fully customized and is very intuitive, with its management being carried out by a button on the left handle. The practicality of the Smart-Key system is another relevant detail of the Honda CBR 1000RR-R Fireblade SP.
As it is a model commemorating the 30th anniversary of the launch of the first Fireblade, the model will be offered in two chromatic versions: the classic tricolor, which reproduces the graphics of the Fireblades used in the World Superbike Championship by the HRC team, and the version that reproduces in updated version the graphics and colors of the pioneering version from 1992, in a commemorative version with application of the '30th Anniversary' logo on the tank, Smart Key and titanium Akrapovic exhaust tip, in addition to numbering engraved on the upper table of the front suspension.
The arrival at dealerships across Brazil is scheduled for February. The warranty is three years, with no mileage limit. Below, the suggested prices (based on the Federal District):
