PININFARINA BATTISTA: UM NOVO RECORDE DE 0 A 100 KM/H EM 1.79 SEGUNDOS

Pininfarina Battista: Italian hyper sports car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.79 seconds

The Pininfarina Battista is fast, but now we know exactly how fast he is. This electric hypersport is currently the fastest accelerating road-legal vehicle in the world. And when it comes to braking, Pininfarina says the Battista also breaks records.

Let's get straight to the topic. The Battista accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.79 seconds. And it reaches 120 km/h in 4.49 seconds, about the same time it takes a Chevrolet Camaro SS to reach 100 km/h.

And when it's time to stop, the Battista goes from 100 km/h to 0 in 30.7 meters exactly. According to Pininfarina, these figures are official and represent new records for production vehicles. The top speed is 349 km/h, which is not an absolute mark, but still, it is a highlight for any car, and even more so for an electric vehicle.

“Perfectly optimized weight distribution and low center of gravity are the basis of this result,” said Production and Engineering Director at Automobili Pininfarina, Paolo Dellacha.

“The combination of custom chassis tuning and suspension, tires tested over many thousands of kilometers of testing and torque vectoring from four engines that deliver unprecedented power, makes the Battista the road-legal car. fastest accelerating in the world.”

Remembering that the Battista uses four electric motors that produce a combined power of 1,900 hp and 2,300 Nm of torque. Rimac supplies the 120 kWh battery pack, which has a T-shaped design and is mounted at a low height for better weight management.

Each car is hand-built in Italy and takes approximately 1,250 hours to complete. The production of 150 vehicles is planned, with prices starting from 2.2 million euros.

Production started in July and deliveries to customers are already underway. Pininfarina chose Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates for the Battista debut, where it revealed its record numbers, achieved at the Dubai Autodrome.

It's been a long road to the electric hypersport. We first saw the car in 2018 during Monterey Car Week in California. Now that deliveries are happening all over the world, it is unclear how long production of these anticipated 150 units will last or if that number will be scaled up in the future.
