M2 Manhart MH2 560...We recently met the new BMW M2, a model that offers the performance of an M in a concentrated and improved format. The launch of this new generation arrives to mark an important date: the 50th anniversary of BMW M GmbH. As you might expect, Manhart has just introduced its new Manhart MH2 560.
According to the Bavarian brand itself, the compact dimensions, together with the propulsion system and chassis technology adapted from the BMW M3/BMW M4, form the core of a concept that gives the new generation of the two-door model incredible agility and driving that remains easily controllable, even when the driver explores the limits of the car.
The 3.0-liter engine, which differs only in a small number of details from the propeller used in the BMW M3 and BMW M4, thrills with its instantaneous response, its ability to offer maximum performance in the high tachometer zone and its power delivery. linear across the entire engine speed spectrum.
With a maximum power of 460 hp, the 6-cylinder engine of the new BMW M2 exceeds by 90 hp the base unit used by its predecessor. The maximum torque of 550 Nm is delivered between 2,650 and 5,870 rpm and maximum power is reached at 6,250 rpm. This new engine is capable of stretching up to 7,200 rpm.
As for the model that appears in the images, on its exterior it is dressed in black for a much more sinister appearance, which in turn contrasts with the classic gold tone band from Manhart. Its height has been reduced by 30 mm thanks to new springs signed by H&R, which are combined with a set of 20-inch Concave One forged wheels with a six-double spoke design.
Nor does it lack the Manhart signature on the front, with a carbon fiber splitter, new bumpers, skirts and two generous airfoils at the rear. At the rear we also find new exhaust outlets with four tailpipes wrapped in carbon fiber and ceramic with a diameter of 100 mm, as well as an F1-style third brake light.
As its name implies, the powerful 6-cylinder, 3.0-liter engine has gone from the original 460 hp and 550 Nm to a not inconsiderable 560 hp and 650 Nm, thanks to an MHtronik Powerbox update to the ECU software and the new high-end exhaust system. performance.
The new exhaust system has a valve control function and four 100 mm diameter pipes. Manhart lets you eliminate standard OPF/GPF catalysts and filters. In terms of performance, it is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 4 seconds and exceeding 250 km/h.
