Limited production FJ Cruiser Final Edition to mark an end to the model's commercialization
The Toyota FJ Cruiser is one of the most veteran vehicles we can find at dealerships. In recent years, the farewell of this emblematic Toyota 4x4 has been commented on several occasions. However, this peculiar off-roader has survived in a small number of markets. The Middle East was the place where he had been resisting. Yet.
It's all set for us to see the final farewell of the FJ Cruiser. An authorized distributor of Toyota vehicles in Saudi Arabia has confirmed the launch of a limited edition, which will put an end to the sale of the model. This is the new Toyota FJ Cruiser Final Edition.
Next December, the series production of the FJ Cruiser will end. Only 1,000 copies of the limited edition Final Edition will be produced. For now, no images of this new version have been released, but according to the information provided by the distributor, it will be very similar to the FJ Cruiser Final Edition introduced in Japan in 2017.
The limited edition Final Edition will clearly differentiate itself from a conventional FJ Cruiser thanks to a number of exterior and interior design elements. It will display frames painted in a beige tone. A color that will contrast with the grille, bumpers, rear-view mirror housings and door handles in black. It can also be identified by a numbered badge.
As for the mechanical part, there will be no surprises. Under the hood of the new FJ Cruiser Final Edition we will find a 4.0-liter V6 gasoline engine that develops an output of 273 hp and 380 Nm of maximum torque. An engine associated with a 4x4 traction system with reduced. It will also be equipped with an electronically controlled locking rear differential.
Regarding the price, the arrival at dealers of the new FJ Cruiser Final Edition is scheduled for the last quarter of 2022. For now, it is unknown what its price will be. We can take as a reference the value equivalent to 225,500 reais that the FJ Cruiser costs in Saudi territory. The limited edition will, predictably, be more expensive.
