RENAULT KANGOO E-TECH ELECTRIC: FURGONETA FRANCESA CHEGA COM 122 CV E 285 KM DE AUTONOMIA

Kangoo E-Tech Electric: raises the bar in terms of autonomy and quality in the segment

The Renault Kangoo for passenger transport extends its range with the E-Tech Electric version, an evolution of the previous Z.E., which raises the bar in terms of autonomy and quality within electric vans.

Thanks to a 122 hp (90 kW) engine and a 45 kWh battery, which offers up to 285 km of autonomy, this multipurpose van actually lends itself to professional rather than private use, while maintaining the modularity and breadth of the versions. with heat engines.

Even in this battery-operated version, the French model retains all the innovations that were introduced in this new generation. The only difference is the charging socket located, as is tradition, under the large diamond of the grille, which in turn rests on a very vertical hood characterized by two thin ribs.

Second row comfort has been improved over the previous generation and now offers comfortable space for three adults. In the cabin, 49 liters are available for storage with the arrival of the Easy Life drawer instead of the classic glove compartment. The trunk offers up to 850 liters of useful volume in standard configuration, which rises to 2,500 if the rear seats are folded down.

Among the special qualities are tool-free modular roof bars and no less than 14 driver assistance devices that contribute to a level 2 semi-autonomous driving experience.

The interior design features the new dashboard already seen in the combustion versions, including the digital control panel where E-Tech specific data indicators have been implemented. Likewise, the Renault Easy Link infotainment system integrates additional functions dedicated to electric driving.

The propulsion is powered, as mentioned before, by a new lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 45 kWh, consisting of eight independent modules and guaranteed up to 70% of the nominal value for eight years or 160,000 km. At the heart of the vehicle is an engine with 245 Nm of torque that features Eco mode to optimize range between loads.

As with the Van version, the Kangoo E-Tech Electric passenger can count on three levels of retention (Sailing, Drive and Brake), in addition to the classic hydraulic braking complemented by the regenerative braking system.

It also includes a two-zone automatic climate control system with heat pump, which provides up to 85 km more WLTP range than a conventional cold air system.

Renault offers three options for recharging the Kangoo: 11 kW AC charger, 22 kW AC quick connection and DC (direct current) fast point up to 80 kW, which provides a range of 170 km (WLTP cycle) in 30 minutes for recharging at public stations.

When connected to an 11 kW public payphone, the battery is recharged from 15 to 80% in 2 hours and 40 minutes. On the other hand, in a 7.4 kW wallbox, it goes from 15 to 100% in less than six hours.

The Renault Kangoo E-Tech Electric is available in three versions: Authentic, for professional and personal use; Balance, more refined and with accessories, and finally the high-end Techno. All of them can be ordered from European dealerships from October 17th and will be delivered later in the year. Prices have not yet been announced.
