YAMAHA
MT 10...It is no exaggeration to say that the competition between the most powerful naked bikes has never been so fierce, and there is no question of brands imitating each other - there are as many manufacturers as there are habits. Practically everyone has their own recipe, KTM with the 1300 V2-equipped Super Duke, Aprilia with the 1100 cm3 V4 Tuono, Triumph with the 1200 in-line three-cylinder Speed Triple is a real experience bomb, but the inline four-cylinder 1000s, i.e. the BMW S 1000 R and the supercharged Kawasaki Z H2, are not exactly average either. The MT-10 is also one of the in-line four-cylinder 1000s, but there is no question that it is a classic inline-four, as it comes with an improved version of the CP4 engine, which is closely related to the R1 superbike.
Befitting the performance, the braking system is also serious, as the model was equipped with a newly developed Brembo radial master brake cylinder. Yamaha promises progress not so much in terms of braking performance, but rather in terms of brake feel and controllability. The quick-shifter (QSS) and the speed limiter, which were previously available as optional extras, are included in the standard price of the model, as is the 4.2-inch, color TFT display instrument unit familiar from the R1, which is an important step forward.
And those who would not be satisfied with the KYB fork with a tube diameter of 43 mm of the basic model can choose the SP version, in which Öhlins' next-generation, electronically controlled, SP (spool valve) suspension drives the front wheel. In the menu, you can choose between 3 manual and 3 semi-active settings, with the latter, the system adjusts the level of springing and damping to the current conditions, which it can then continuously change.
