MASERATI MC20 BY NOVITEC: ESPORTIVO ITALIANO MELHORA SUA EFICIÊNCIA AERODINÂMICA E A POTÊNCIA DO MOTOR

MC20 gets a very interesting touch from Novitec

Maserati enters a new era with the MC20, the new super sports model that combines performance, sportiness and luxury with the Italian brand's unique style. The Maserati MC20 is undoubtedly an Italian work of art, as it is a car with incredible aerodynamic efficiency, which hides a sporty soul, with the new Nettuno engine.

We're talking about a V6 block with 630 horsepower and 730 Nm of torque that catapults the MC20 from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 2.9 seconds. The model is capable of reaching 320 km/h and weight is one of its strong points, as it weighs less than 1,500 kg. According to the brand, the car has one of the best power-to-weight ratios on the market.

The Italian manufacturer's data reveals just 2.33 kg/hp thanks to the intensive use of lightweight materials such as carbon fiber. However, the German specialist Novitec believes that the aesthetics of the MC20 can be radically improved with some carbon fiber accessories, and the truth is that they are not lacking for a reason.

The trident brand's performance flagship gets a tweak package that includes discreet aerodynamics and a power boost to the Nettuno V6 engine. On the outside are a pair of side fins on the front bumper air intakes and a slightly larger ducktail rear spoiler made of carbon fiber.

The same material was used for the hood inserts and the side air intakes. The new Vossen NF10 forged wheels complete the set. They measure 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the back. They are shod with high-performance tires and can be paired with a lower suspension to improve handling.

Novitec's sport springs bring the MC20 closer to the ground by 25 mm. As usual, the German preparer also offers many options for the interior, including leather upholstery and Alcantara in any desired color. But the icing on the cake is under the hood. The 3.0-litre V6 biturbo dry sump engine now features two plug-and-play N-TRONIC modules and a revised exhaust system.

As a result, the total power is now 711 hp and 818 Nm of maximum torque. The power increase has a positive effect on performance. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is completed in 2.8 seconds and the top speed exceeds 325 km/h. For the exhaust system you can choose stainless steel or Inconel.

Those who want a plus can equip the optional 100-cell sport mufflers and catalytic converters. There is also an optional active sound management system. Dual 100mm tailpipes can be specified with a stainless steel or carbon fiber finish.
