DUCATI
The fifth version of the great Ducati trail will hit the market to fight with the models more focused on long-distance adventure tours, and for this the new Rally has the necessary modifications to start and not stop until it reaches its destination, whatever the type of terrain you want to travel on.
The Ducati Multistrada 1100 V4 Rally joins the standard version, the S that has a more complete equipment, including the semi-active electronic adjustment suspensions that it shares with the Rally, the Sport with a different decoration and the last to arrive this season, the Pikes Peak version more focused on sporty road use, which has 17” wheels on both trains.
INTELLIGENT ENGINE...The basic structure of the Multistrada has not changed in the rally, with its V4 engine inspired by the structure born in MotoGP, but with very important changes to prolong the distance traveled without needing revisions, such as the drive system of the valves by means of springs, instead of the traditional Ducati desmodromic system with cams to open and close them
MORE OPTIONS...Four driving modes have been developed: Sport, Touring, Urban and Enduro. This last mode has an important evolution in the Multistrada V4 Rally. When selected, not only does a specific power mode activate, limiting it to 114 hp, but traction control switches to a lower intervention level and front lift deactivates, as does wheel ABS. rear. Likewise, the differential function with the bike leaning in curves and the detection of the rear elevation are eliminated, all this to adapt to off-road use.
MORE RANGE...The capacity of the aluminum fuel tank has been increased from the 22 liters of the rest of the versions to 30 litres, which can provide a range of more than 450 km. The new Multistrada Rally improves its off-road capability with wider steel rider footpegs with a sharper profile and removable rubber insert. Light-spoked rims come as standard and allow weight to be reduced by 3.2 kg. Engine guards have been enlarged. And the rear brake is more powerful. The tip of the brake lever has two positions and the side covers are made of aluminum.
To improve comfort, the fairing screen has been redesigned, which is 40 mm higher and 20 mm wider. The tail has been lengthened and the pannier anchorage has been delayed to offer more space in the leg area for the passenger, who can also have footpegs with larger rubber inserts to reduce the level of transmitted vibrations.
VARIOUS COMBINATIONS...There are different seats with various heights for both rider and passenger, and also a lowered suspension kit, to adapt the Multistrada V4 Rally to any combination of rider and passenger height. The “Minimum Preload” function of the V4 S is maintained in 2022, which allows the bike to be lowered when stopped and when traveling at low speed, reducing the preload of the shock absorber to a minimum. In this version, the “Easy Lift” function is released, which opens the hydraulics of the suspensions with the key ON, reducing the effort necessary to lift the motorcycle from the side stand thanks to the compression of the fork and the shock absorber.
To facilitate the assembly and disassembly of the side cases and make any task easier, the motorcycle incorporates a central stand as standard. The aluminum panniers have a capacity of 76 litres, plus 16 liters from the top case, and have a lockable body mounting. It also has a ventilated mobile compartment.
VARIOUS VERSIONS...The Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally will be offered in three different versions: Adventure Radar, equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Detection, Adventure Travel & Radar, which adds aluminum side cases, heated grips and saddles, while The Full Adventure completes this latest equipment with an approved Akrapovic silencer and a carbon fiber front fender.
The Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally will arrive at dealerships from February 2023 in two colors: Ducati Red and Brushed Aluminum and Matte Black, the latter with an exposed brushed aluminum tank, with black spoked wheels for both.
