Bagnaia wins one more at the Red Bull Ring circuit, but Quartararo remains in the lead for the title

Pecco Bagnaia already has his particular hat trick. The Italian rider continues to break records and is already the second Ducati rider to achieve three consecutive wins, equaling a certain Casey Stoner. But it is that in MotoGP only names that are championship legends had achieved it: Valentino Rossi, Casey Stoner, Jorge Lorenzo, Dani Pedrosa and Marc Márquez, the last one in 2019.

The third candidate for victory, Aleix Espargaró, closed a difficult weekend with a sixth position. The race was long for him at the end, with that decision for the rear soft tyre, but he continues to score points and remains second in the standings, 32 points behind Quartararo. Better races will come, like Misano at Noale's house in two weeks.

The worst news on Sunday was Joan Mir's injury. The Suzuki rider had a horrible crash on the first lap, and the highside caused a double fracture in his right foot. Tomorrow he will undergo more tests to see if he can contest the next appointment in Misano.

Although without team orders, Ducati had a great start. Pecco Bagnaia passed Bastianini and placed first. And to wheel Miller and Martin. The four Ducatis were already in the lead and there were no incidents at the first chicane. The gap was already made, but Maverick Viñales was reluctant to give up the race and passed Quartararo to place fifth. In the first lap, the difference between the Ducati quartet and Maverick was 1 second.
