The fun adventure of the German 765LT autobahn bolido

Driving the car is a turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 that McLaren says produces 755 hp and 800 lb-ft of torque. However, several races have shown that he has more power than McLaren claims. Coupled to the engine is a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that sends power through the rear wheels.

Eager to see how fast the British supercar is in a straight line, AutoTopNL recently jumped out of the driver's seat of one of the examples and onto the German autobahn.

McLaren says the 765LT takes just 2.8 seconds to hit 100km/h, and while that's impressive, it's not the 765LT's most incredible performance. Instead, the car's acceleration is particularly notable. accelerates from 100 km/h to 200 km/h in about 5 seconds.

The 765LT doesn't stop picking up speed once it hits 200 km/h. With the accelerator pressed, the driver takes full advantage of the car's capabilities, reaching a top speed of 326 km/h, just below the car's advertised top speed.

Not only is the McLaren incredibly easy to hit these speeds, it also feels easy to drive, and thanks to the automaker's advanced suspension system, even the ride feels pretty responsive.
