The 2023 KTM 250 SX-F becomes the first off-road motorcycle of the Austrian brand produced in Brazil. The process of nationalizing the line-up represents a new phase for KTM Brasil, which expands operations at the manufacturing unit in Manaus (AM) and increases both the line of enduro bikes and now also the motocross bikes. “Our objective is to offer the best and most desired motorcycles in this market, in line with the brand's innovations abroad”, celebrates Fábio Campos, director of KTM Brazil. “We started production of motocross bikes by launching the 250 SX-F first, but other models will follow,” he reveals.

The brand chose Arena Cross, a traditional motorcycling competition, to launch the bike yesterday, August 20, in São Paulo.

As new as expected!...Launched a few months ago in Europe, the 250 SX-F represents a huge leap in the standards of the competitive 250 cc class, with a package designed to offer the best performance and easy handling at any level, indisputably without losing the Ready To Race trend.

With an updated design, an impressive power of 47 hp, greater straight-line stability and the most complete electronic management today, the 250 SX-F 2023 arrives to take on the category and dominate it.

Total control...No matter how bumpy the track is, off-road or on a circuit, the rider will always be in full control. For this, KTM has implemented a set of updates aimed at mass centralization, less weight and the best 'anti-squat' effect to ensure the perfect application of power on corner exits, while more centralized footpegs avoid the risk of snagging in the corners. deeper grooves.

Hydroformed, laser cut and robot welded, the new chassis brings exceptional feedback. It reallocates the masses closer to the center of gravity and with parameters of longitudinal bending and torsion calculated for energy absorption, it means that the chassis acts as a kind of 'damper' and provides more ease of handling, therefore less fatigue in the ride for many turns.

Rock solid at any speed. This was made possible by a forged steering column connection and stanchions machined from high-quality aluminum to provide greater steering rigidity. The more precise geometry and perfect alignment of the front suspension fork causes a smoother and more responsive effect, meaning more control and precision for the rider.

To overcome and overcome any obstacle, the new WP XACT front suspension features pneumatic capability with an air reservoir, 48 mm tubes and split adjustments. New hydraulic forks improve resistance when pushed to the extreme and minimize the effect of extension on jumps and impacts. Redesigned guards provide greater protection from dirt, and the O-rings are as reliable as they are amazingly designed.

Fatigue-free and precise from lap to lap on the circuit, the rear suspension features a new WP XACT damper that produces unparalleled consistency on the track and more safety during long and demanding training sessions or races. New SKF low-friction seals and advanced damping features result in increased wheel-to-ground traction with class-leading energy absorption.

Another great novelty is that both damping systems are adjustable and without any tools. In a few seconds the pilot can perform the best tuning for high and low speeds with his own hands. The systems feature preload adjustments, as well as easy-access, instant-adjust, understand and return adjustments.

Unparalleled performance...Completely improved, ergonomics have evolved with new measurements of the driving triangle (handlebars, footpegs and seat), which generate greater contact between the knees and the surfaces. The flatter seat makes movement easier while a new super-grip cover provides superior control. New plastics have been redesigned to get less mud and mud buildup.

Class leader when it comes to power, the bravest heart of the 250 cc class. It has 47 hp maximum power.

With a total weight of just 26.11kg, it is designed to match the handling, with increased power if the rider wants it at medium and high revs. The height on the engine was reduced by 8 mm and the positioning rotated two degrees back, which resulted in the positioning of the pinion 3 cm lower, the new measures contributed to the centralization of masses and the anti-squat effect.
